16. BA, BEd (Mathematics Major) I/S

Four Year program
A cumulative average of 65% in all courses is required. See regulation #2, page 60, regarding the average in the major.

Students must choose two teachable subjects. See Intermediate-Senior Specialization page 71.

First Year:
(a) Mathematics 1180
(b) One FCE from English 1011, 1031, 1111, 1112 (it is recommended that at least one be from 1011, 1031)
(c) One FCE in History
(d) One FCE elective in second teaching field
(e) One FCE elective in Group II (see Social Sciences and Humanities Regulations, First Year Arts Program Grouping Requirements, page 203)

Second Year:
(a) Mathematics 1281, 2111 and 2131
(b) One FCE elective in second teaching field
(c) One FCE elective from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities
(d) Education Second Year I/S Core Courses. See page 72.

Third Year:
(a) Mathematics 2255, 2275 and one other FCE in Mathematics at the second or third year level
(b) One FCE elective in second teaching field
(c) One FCE elective
(d) Education Third Year I/S Core Courses. See page 72.

Fourth Year (Professional Year):

17. BSc, BEd (Mathematics Major) I/S

Four Year program

(a) Mathematics 1180, 1281
(b) One FCE from English 1011, 1031, 1111, 1112 (it is recommended that at least one be 1011 or 1031). English may be used as a second teachable.
(c) Two FCEs chosen from Biology 1110/1130, Chemistry 1110/1130, Computer Science 1411/1431, Geography 1120, Geology 1110/1130, Physics 1101. One of these may be in the second teaching field.

Second Year:
(a) Mathematics 2111, 2131, 2255, 2275
(b) One FCE in Science
(c) One FCE in the second teaching field

Third Year:
(a) One FCE in Mathematics at the third or fourth year level
