1. BA, BEd (Anthropology Major) P/J

Four Year program
A cumulative average of 65% in all courses is required. See regulation #2, page 60, regarding the average in the major.

Courses will be chosen in consultation with the department.

First Year:
(a) Anthropology 1032 and 1034
(b) One FCE in History or another Group I elective (see Social Sciences and Humanities Regulations, First Year Arts Program Grouping Requirements, page 203)
(c) A minimum of one FCE in English, with at least one of the literature courses (English 1111 or 1112). For English Majors both English 1111 and English 1112 are required.
(d) One FCE from Group II (see page 203)
(e) One FCE elective in Mathematics or Science (see Academic Regulations, #1, page 60)

Second Year:
(a) Anthropology 2110, 2112, 2137, 2515, 2517
(b) Anthropology 2151
(c) One FCE elective in Music or Visual Arts
(d) Education Second Year P/J Core Courses. See page 61.

Third Year:
(a) Two FCEs in Anthropology at the third year level
(b) One additional FCE in Anthropology
(c) One FCE elective
(d) Education Third Year P/J Core Courses. See page 61.

Fourth Year (Professional Year):

2. BSc, BEd (Anthropology Major) P/J

Four Year program
A cumulative average of 65% in all courses is required. See regulation #2, page 60, regarding the average in the major.

It is important that BSc and HBSc students seek academic counselling and program planning through the Anthropology Department. Although the program is somewhat flexible, students should select science courses appropriate to their specialization, paying careful attention to prerequisites.

First Year:
(a) Anthropology 1032 and 1034
(b) A minimum of one FCE in English, with at least one of the literature courses (English 1111 or 1112). For English Majors both English 1111 and English 1112 are required.
(c) Three FCEs from: Biology 1110, 1130, Chemistry 1101, Geography 1120, Geology 1110, 1130, Mathematics 0210, 1160, Business 1513, Physics 1101

Second Year:
(a) Anthropology 2110, 2112, 2137, 2515, 2517
(b) Anthropology 2151
(c) One FCE elective in Music or Visual Arts

Third Year:
(a) Two FCEs from: Anthropology 3010, 3118, 3136, 3138, 3139, 3150, 3231, 3315, 3455, 3815, 3817, 4219, 4417, 4419, 4429, 4430 or 4450
(b) A third FCE in Anthropology (Anthropology 3150 recommended for archaeology students)
