Description:Isolation and indentification of genes, analysis of gene structure, gene expression and its regulation, with emphasis on molecular genetics of prokaryotic microorganisms and their viruses. Major topics covered include: mutagenesis, conjugation, recombination, gene regulation, plasmids, transposons, bacteriophage and genomics.
