Bursaries (for Entrance And In-Course - Full-Time Students)

Students are advised to check the most recent bursary information on the Lakehead University Financial Aid website: http://financialaid.lakeheadu.ca/

The following bursaries are awarded on the basis of the Fall/Winter Bursary Application that is available from the Financial Aid website in early October.


Students registered in the co-operative degree programs are eligible for bursary assistance. Bursaries are awarded primarily on the basis of financial need.

LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY BURSARIES
- PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER

Lakehead University Entrance Bursary
General Bursary: up to $1,500 (TUBUE)
and
Access Bursary: $800 (TTBUE)
Number awarded varies.
These bursaries are awarded to students entering Lakehead University from high school. The Access Bursary is awarded to those students who travel over 700 km to Lakehead University. Eligibility requirements: demonstrated financial need, Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and full-time enrolment. Application is available via the Financial Aid website by
Deadline: March 15 and June 30, 2006.

Lakehead University Returning Student Bursary
Number awarded varies.
$1,000 (TUBUI)
Awarded to undergraduate Returning students on the basis of financial need. Eligibility requirements: financial need; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and full-time enrolment. Application is available via the Financial Aid website.
Deadline: July 7, 2006.

Lakehead University Mature Student Bursary
Number awarded varies.
$1,000 (TUBUI)
Awarded to undergraduate Mature (no previous post-secondary) students on the basis of financial need. Eligibility requirements: financial need; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and full-time enrolment. Application is available via the Financial Aid website.
Deadline: July 7, 2006.

Lakehead University Transfer Student Bursary
Number awarded varies.
$1,000 (TUBUI)
Awarded to undergraduate Transfer students on the basis of financial need. Eligibility requirements: financial need; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and full-time enrolment. Application is available via the Financial Aid website.
Deadline: July 7, 2006.

LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY FALL/WINTER BURSARIES
- AFTER SEPTEMBER

The Lakehead University Fall/Winter Bursary Application for the Fall/Winter Sessions is comprised of donor and University funded bursaries for full-time undergraduate students. Application is available via the Financial Aid web site: http://financialaid.lakeheadu.ca/
