In-Course-Faculty of Engineering-No Application

The following 2013-2014 Endowed and Non-Endowed Donor In-Course Scholarship and Award Funds for the Faculty of Engineering (with no application) are available. Note: Instead of dollar amount, "Not Available", indicates that donor funds are unavailable for this year.


The John Andrews Engineering Scholarship
$200 (JAESI)
Awarded to a full-time student of high standing entering the third or fourth year of the Engineering Degree Program.

Bombardier Inc. Scholarship
$800 (A-BUTDI)
Awarded on the basis of high academic standing to a student entering the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering Degree Program with a major in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

The Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering Student Award
(A-CSCEI)
Awarded to the highest ranking student entering the final year of the Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree program. The award includes a plaque and a two-year subscription to the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering.

Construction Association of Thunder Bay Scholarship
$1000 (A-CATBI)
Awarded to a high ranking student upon completion of the Common Year in Applied Science and proceeding to the Bachelor of Engineering Degree program.

Faculty of Engineering Scholarship
$350 (EGRSI)
Awarded to an in-course student in the Faculty of Engineering, in any program, on the basis of academic achievement.

Murray Fleming Engineering Scholarship
$300 (MFESI)
Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and attitude to professional studies to a student entering the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering Degree program.

Murray Fleming Memorial Silver Jubilee Scholarship
$300 (SJMFI)
Established in memory of Murray Fleming by his family in recognition of his interest in Lakehead University. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and attitude to professional studies to a student who has completed the first term of the third year of the Bachelor of Engineering degree program. Financial need may also be considered.

Professional Engineers of Ontario Foundation for Education Medal for Academic Achievement
(OPEMI)
Awarded to the graduating student with the highest standing in the Bachelor of Engineering Degree program.

Society of Chemical Industry Canadian Section Merit Award
(SCIMI)
Awarded to the graduating student with the highest standing in the Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) Degree program.

Waldemar Klemens Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 (A-WKMSI)
Created in 2009 by family and friends and Peter Kiewit & Sons Co. in memory of Waldemar (Wally) Klemens, a 2008 Mechanical Engineering graduate who died tragically in a plane accident. Awarded to a student enrolled in Mechanical Engineering who demonstrates academic excellence. Preference will be given to a college transfer student.
